
c. Find Bitdefender and select Remove.
d. Click Remove and then Reinstall/change my Bitdefender product.
e. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.
▶ In Windows Vista and Windows 7:
a. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Programs and
Features.
b. Wait a few moments until the installed software list is displayed.
c. Find Bitdefender and select Uninstall.
d. Click Remove and then Reinstall/change my Bitdefender product.
e. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.
▶ In Windows 8:
a. From the Windows Start screen, locate Control Panel (for example, you
can start typing "Control Panel" directly in the Start screen) and then click
its icon.
b. Click Uninstall a program or Programs and Features.
c. Wait a few moments until the installed software list is displayed.
d. Find Bitdefender and select Uninstall.
e. Click Remove and then Reinstall/change my Bitdefender product.
f. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot your system.
3. In order to correctly uninstall the other software, go to their website and run
their uninstall tool or contact them directly in order to provide you with the
uninstall guidelines.
4. Reboot your system in normal mode and reinstall Bitdefender.
You have already followed the steps above and the situation is not
solved.
To solve this, follow these steps:
1. Reboot your system and enter in Safe Mode. To find out how to do this, please
refer to “How do I restart in Safe Mode?” (p. 67).
2. Use the System Restore option from Windows to restore the computer to an
earlier date before installing the Bitdefender product. To find out how to do
this, please refer to “How do I use System Restore in Windows?” (p. 66).
3. Reboot the system in normal mode and contact our support representatives
for help as described in section “Asking for help” (p. 172).
